About Juuli Juuli is a fintech platform built for solopreneurs, freelancers, and B2B businesses, offering financial accounts (IBAN/wallet), card issuing, and payment infrastructure. Our core products help independent professionals and small businesses get paid, manage their finances, and operate internationally with ease. We're a fast-growing, remote-first team building compliant financial infrastructure across multiple jurisdictions. We're looking for a Mid-level Software Developer to join our engineering efforts, working primarily with PHP and MySQL. We work heavily with AI-assisted development tools (Claude Code, Cursor) — you'll be expected to move fast with AI, while maintaining the judgment and discipline to review, test, and take full ownership of what ships to production. What you'll do: Build and maintain features across our PHP/MySQL backend Use AI-assisted coding tools (Claude Code, Cursor) as a core part of your daily workflow to move quickly Review, test, and validate AI-generated code before it ships — you own the quality, not the tool Manage version control cleanly through Git (branching, commits, pull requests) Debug and resolve issues across the stack, from database queries to application logic Collaborate with the team on technical decisions and code reviews What we're looking for: Solid experience with PHP and MySQL High proficiency with Claude Code and/or Cursor is essential — comfortable working in an AI-assisted ("vibe coding") workflow while still exercising strong independent judgment and review discipline over what gets shipped Strong Git knowledge (branching, merging, PR workflows) Experience working in fintech is a plus Mid-level experience — you can work independently but this isn't a role requiring deep architectural leadership General familiarity with DigitalOcean Apps and Managed Databases is a plus Strong English (written and spoken) Self-discipline for remote work — available and responsive during working hours (10:00–17:00) Setup: Remote, full-time, working hours 10:00–17:00 We don't run on rigid performance metrics — what matters to us is discipline, ownership, and genuine effort Any relocation or residence/work permit arrangements, if required, are the candidate's own responsibility
