ABOUT THE ROLE As part of a transformation initiative, BGTS will be building the integration layer for a large bank’s trade finance systems — the interfaces that carry letters of credit, bank guarantees and documentary collections between the bank's channels, its core platforms and its counterparties. WHAT YOU WILL BUILD API and interface development on enterprise middleware — IBM App Connect Enterprise, IBM API Connect, IBM MQ or similar Integration services in Java / Spring Boot and .NET, exposing REST/JSON and consuming SOAP/XML Message-queuing and event-driven flows between core banking, channel and counterparty systems Workflow orchestration aligned to the client's workflow platforms Data access across Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server and PostgreSQL Unit tests and execution evidence — on this programme your tests are a contractual deliverable, not an afterthought Utilize our proprietary AI SDLC platform for AI-assisted development and documentation WHAT WE NEED 5+ years building production integrations or APIs Hands-on IBM App Connect Enterprise or IBM Integration Bus — message flows, ESQL — or real depth on a comparable ESB / middleware platform and the appetite to convert Strong Java / Spring Boot or .NET REST/JSON and SOAP/XML in production, not just in a tutorial Message queuing: IBM MQ, Kafka or RabbitMQ Confident SQL against at least one of Oracle, SQL Server or PostgreSQL Git and CI/CD as normal working practice, not something someone else does Professional level English skills NICE TO HAVE Banking or financial services delivery, especially trade finance SWIFT message types (MT7xx) or ISO 20022 IBM API Connect or DataPower Red Hat OpenShift or Kubernetes Experience remediating SAST findings — Checkmarx, Veracode or Fortify IBM certification on App Connect Enterprise or Integration Bus "bgts INT"
