Role Overview The Pre-Sales Infrastructure & ITSM Solutions Architect bridges sales and technical delivery by scoping, sizing, and pitching enterprise-grade infrastructure and IT Service Management (ITSM/ESM) solutions. You will partner with Account Executives to act as a trusted advisor to C-level client executives, translating complex business challenges into scalable technical architectures and profitable commercial proposals. Key Responsibilities Discovery & Scoping: Lead technical discovery sessions and workshops with client leadership (CIOs, CTOs, IT Directors) to identify pain points across cloud/data center infrastructure and IT service management workflows. Solution Architecture: Design end-to-end reference architectures combining hybrid cloud, on-premises data centers, and leading ITSM/ESM platforms (e.g., ServiceNow, Atlassian/Jira Service Management, BMC Helix). Proposal & Bid Management: Own the technical narrative and delivery scope for RFIs, RFPs, Statements of Work (SoWs), and Proofs of Concept (PoCs). Commercial & TCO Sizing: Build pricing models, license calculations, Rough Order of Magnitude (ROM) estimates, and ROI/TCO business cases to justify solution value. Delivery Handoff: Collaborate with post-sales delivery teams to ensure project feasibility, alignment with profit margins, and smooth handoff from sales to implementation. Qualifications & Key Skill Sets Technical Expertise: ITSM/ESM: Strong mastery of ITIL frameworks, CMDB design, service desk automation, and enterprise platforms. Infrastructure: Solid understanding of public/hybrid cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP), data center virtualization, networking, and basic cybersecurity principles. Commercial Acumen: Proven ability to position enterprise software/infrastructure value, calculate margins, and address buyer objections. Executive Communication: Exceptional presentation, workshop facilitation, and storytelling skills to engage both technical teams and finance/business executives. Experience: 10 years in pre-sales engineering, solution architecture, or technical consulting within enterprise IT environments.
