At Mobiva, we build AI-powered consumer applications across iOS, Android, and web, and scale them globally. We're an AI app studio that places the latest text, image, video, and audio models at the core of our products; product, technology, growth, and monetization are developed entirely in-house. We're looking for a teammate to lead our growing development team (mobile, backend, and QA) while also taking technical ownership of the backend. This is a "player-coach" role: Your priority will be leading the team and delivering work end-to-end together with the product team — but we're looking for someone who thinks full-stack and enjoys getting hands-on with code when it's needed and during intense periods. We work at a pace that ships a product every sprint, and we make our decisions by reading the numbers. This role is the technical owner of that pace. What you'll do Lead the development team across mobile, backend, and QA; grow and mentor the team Set priorities with the product team, plan the work in Linear, and deliver complete and on time every sprint Own architecture and API decisions as the technical lead of the backend; solve problems quickly and share the reasoning with the team Own the backend layer that brings AI models (text, image, video, audio) into the product: provider integrations, queueing and processing flows, latency and error handling Manage model cost on the technical side: set up rate limits, usage/credit limits, and free-tier constraints together with the product team Guarantee that the subscription and paywall infrastructure (RevenueCat, Adapty, Web2Wave) and the event/analytics implementation work correctly — we don't ship a feature whose measurement isn't in place Own code quality, code review culture, and technical standards Mature the team's AI-driven development practice — build the review, testing, and standards that reduce AI-introduced defects while keeping the speed gains Make rapid prototyping technically possible in a field where new models and capabilities ship weekly Contribute hands-on development on the mobile and web side when needed Work alongside DevOps on deployment and infrastructure processes What we're looking for 5+ years of software development and team leadership/mentoring experience (maturity and capability matter more than an exact year count) Command of the modern JavaScript/TypeScript ecosystem and strong backend development experience with NestJS/Node Experience designing the right API and communication model for the problem (REST/GraphQL, real-time, event-driven) Experience with versioning and backward compatibility in APIs serving mobile applications Experience with PostgreSQL schema design, performance optimization, and migration management Full-stack capability at a level where you can actively develop with React Native (Expo) and Next.js Hands-on production experience with AI/LLM APIs (streaming, asynchronous processing, cost and latency management) Command of servers, domain/DNS, and deployment processes (enough to speak the same language as DevOps) Technical judgment to pick the right tool for the job, and an approach that owns work end-to-end Experience working with a product team, prioritizing, and carrying delivery responsibility Experience with Agile/Scrum practices and the ability to operate at a pace that ships every sprint Good level of English What would excite us Experience at a mobile app studio or product company Experience working on consumer AI products Experience on large-scale, high-download, "winner" products Experience with mobile marketing technologies (attribution, analytics, growth & A/B testing, ASO, push/CRM) Subscription/monetization backend (RevenueCat, Adapty, Web2Wave, IAP), Firebase (Analytics/Crashlytics/Remote Config), release management with feature flags Experience with event taxonomy and attribution implementation on the Amplitude/AppsFlyer/Firebase side Experience building heavy media processing (image/video generation) pipelines Active use of AI-assisted development tools What describes you Calm in a crisis — focused on the fix rather than the panic when a system goes down Strong communicator — shares good news and bad news transparently and on time Fast, pragmatic problem solver who takes ownership Comfortable in an environment where decisions are made quickly, transparently, and based on data Adaptable to a fast-changing AI landscape — the technology shifts weekly, and you can keep up Eager to learn, genuinely enjoys the work, and spreads that energy across the team Our tool set Backend & full-stack: TypeScript, NestJS/Node, PostgreSQL, React Native (Expo), Next.js Planning & task tracking: Linear Monetization & subscriptions: RevenueCat, Adapty, Web2Wave Analytics & measurement: Amplitude, Firebase Attribution & growth: AppsFlyer, Adjust Why Mobiva The opportunity to build the most trending AI products in the global market and bring them to millions of users The chance to work daily with the latest text, image, video, and audio models in an AI-first culture An iteration speed traditional companies can't match for years A fast but disciplined development pace built around shipping a product every sprint Close collaboration with product, AI, growth, and marketing teams A strong company culture we actively work on every day — every team member is both a participant in and a builder of it All products are developed in-house, end to end
