Support Engineer — Ankara, Türkiye About DataFlowX DataFlowX is a cyber security company providing zero trust solutions in network isolation, cross-domain data transfer and e-mail security. Our products serve millions of end users in production environments across critical infrastructure, defense, finance and public sector organizations. We are expanding our presence in Türkiye and looking for a Support Engineer to join our Technical Operations Team. The position is based in Ankara. Job Description As a Support Engineer, you will be the technical face of DataFlowX in the field. You will work directly inside our customers' production environments — data centers, DMZ segments, isolated networks — installing, configuring, upgrading and troubleshooting our products alongside their IT and security teams. This is a hands-on role for someone who is comfortable in front of a customer and comfortable in front of a terminal, on the same day. Responsibilities Deliver installation, configuration, upgrade and periodic health check services for DataFlowX products in customer environments Run product demonstrations and PoC deployments on customer infrastructure, explaining features and architecture to technical stakeholders Own the technical process at the customer: communicate deployment and upgrade plans, align maintenance windows with the customer's change management schedule, and resolve incoming support requests within agreed SLAs Integrate our products with enterprise infrastructure — Active Directory, Exchange / mail gateways, firewalls, proxies, load balancers, SIEM and central logging Perform root cause analysis on complex issues spanning network, operating system and application layers, and escalate to R&D with reproducible evidence Contribute to technical design, deployment architecture and documentation Manage day-to-day relationships with the technical teams of our customers and partners Support the management and maintenance of internal corporate systems and services Travel to customer sites across Türkiye and, occasionally, abroad Requirements 6+ years of hands-on enterprise IT support or field engineering experience, with direct customer contact Practical experience with enterprise infrastructure architecture: Active Directory, Exchange, DNS, PKI, DMZ design, data center topologies and segmentation Understanding and operational experience with Microsoft Windows Server family, roles and services Solid GNU/Linux experience and fluency with standard tooling (ip, route, arp, iptables/nftables, ss, traceroute, curl, netcat, tcpdump, iptraf, systemd, journalctl) Technical knowledge of network technologies (firewall, proxy, IPS/IDS, central logging) and protocols (routing, TCP, UDP, NAT, VLAN, LACP, VRRP, DNS, SMTP) Experience with e-mail security technologies and a working understanding of SMTP, MX routing, TLS, SPF/DKIM/DMARC Familiarity with virtualization platforms (VMware ESXi, Hyper-V, Proxmox) and general datacenter operations Strong analytical thinking and structured troubleshooting discipline — able to isolate a problem methodically under time pressure Clear written and verbal communication; able to explain a technical constraint to a customer without losing them Ability to take feedback, work under supervision where needed, and operate effectively in distributed teams Willingness and availability to travel for customer site visits and company meetings Fluent English, B-class driver's license, bachelor's degree in a related field (Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mathematical Engineering, Mathematics or related Information Technologies) Nice to Have Experience with data diode, cross-domain solution or air-gapped network deployments Exposure to OT/ICS environments and industrial protocols Scripting ability (Bash, Python, PowerShell) for automation and diagnostics Certifications such as MCSA/MCSE, RHCSA/RHCE, CCNA, Security+ Prior experience in defense, public sector or regulated industry projects What's In It For You An opportunity to be part of a team building next-generation cyber security technologies for the most demanding customers in the country and abroad An organization that values all aspects of diversity and respects every individual's story Continuous skill development with direct access to the development teams behind the products you support As DataFlowX We value team-working.
