About the Role We're looking for a Software Engineer who enjoys building reliable products, solving real-world problems, and taking ownership of features from development to production. This role is not limited to a single layer of the application. Depending on the problem, you'll work across backend services, web applications, and mobile applications. You don't need to be an expert in every technology we use, but you should have strong software engineering fundamentals and be comfortable learning and working across different parts of the product. Our backend is primarily built with C# and .NET, our web applications use React, and our mobile applications are built with React Native. If you enjoy understanding a problem end to end, designing a practical solution, writing clean code, debugging difficult issues, and seeing your work used in real operations, you'll feel at home here. What You'll Do • Design, develop, and maintain production software across backend, web, and mobile applications. • Build backend services and REST APIs primarily using C# and .NET. • Develop and maintain web applications using React. • Contribute to mobile applications built with React Native. • Design and work with relational databases, data models, and application queries. • Take ownership of features from technical analysis and implementation through testing, deployment, and production support. • Investigate bugs, performance problems, and production issues and identify their root causes. • Write maintainable, testable, and reusable code while improving existing code when necessary. • Participate in technical design discussions, code reviews, and architectural decisions. • Work closely with product, optimization, and other engineering teams to turn real operational requirements into reliable software. • Consider performance, scalability, security, observability, and maintainability when designing solutions. • Use AI-assisted development tools where they meaningfully improve engineering productivity. What You'll Need • Strong software engineering fundamentals and problem-solving skills. • Professional experience developing production software. • Good knowledge of object-oriented programming, data structures, application design, and common software design principles. • Experience developing backend applications and APIs. Experience with C# and .NET is strongly preferred. • Experience with relational databases and SQL. • Understanding of REST APIs, HTTP, authentication, and common web application concepts. • Experience with modern frontend development. React experience is preferred. • Ability to understand and contribute to an existing codebase rather than only building new applications from scratch. • Good understanding of Git-based development workflows and code review practices. • Experience writing automated tests and understanding the importance of unit, integration, and end-to-end testing. • Ability to debug complex problems across application, database, and integration layers. • Awareness of software security, performance, scalability, and reliability considerations. • Ability to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. • A mindset of ownership: being responsible not only for writing code, but also for making sure the software works reliably in production. Nice to Have • Experience with React Native and mobile application development. • Working Python skills for scripting, prototyping, or reading existing code. • Experience with distributed systems, caching, background jobs, or asynchronous processing. • Experience with technologies such as Redis, Docker, SignalR, or similar tools. • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, containerized applications, and production deployment environments. • Experience with monitoring, logging, tracing, and production observability tools. • Experience working with mapping, routing, optimization, logistics, or location-based applications. • Familiarity with operations research and combinatorial optimization concepts. • Experience working with optimization solvers such as CPLEX, Gurobi, Hexaly, or similar tools. • Experience in banking, logistics, e-commerce, or other operationally complex domains. • Familiarity with AI/ML concepts and practical experience using LLMs or AI-assisted development tools.
