We are looking for a Senior Compliance Specialist who will help support ONUR Group’s operations and growth across different sectors and geographies with a strong ethics and compliance framework, and contribute to its transparent, responsible and sustainable growth. Key Responsibilities · Monitor and assess national and international legal and regulatory developments affecting the Group’s activities and translate relevant requirements into practical business guidance. · Provide legal opinions and guidance to business units on anti-bribery and corruption, conflicts of interest, gifts and hospitality, sanctions, competition law, fraud prevention and other ethics and compliance matters. · Draft, review and update compliance policies, procedures, guidelines, declarations, contractual provisions and internal control documents. · Conduct compliance risk assessments, thematic reviews and monitoring activities, document the results and recommend proportionate corrective and preventive actions. · Conduct or support risk-based third-party compliance due diligence on business partners, consultants, representatives, suppliers, subcontractors and other relevant parties. · Identify and assess compliance red flags and recommend appropriate risk mitigation measures, approval mechanisms, contractual protections or escalation steps. · Review compliance provisions in contracts, tender documents and business relationships in coordination with Legal, Procurement, Finance and operational units. · Assess reports received through ethics and whistleblowing channels and, within the scope of the authority granted, conduct or support internal investigations, including interviews, document and evidence review and reporting. · Prepare clear and well-reasoned legal opinions, compliance risk assessments, management reports and presentations for the Compliance Manager, senior management and relevant governance bodies. · Develop and deliver compliance training, employee communications and awareness activities across different functions and geographies. · Clarify action owners and deadlines, monitor improvement plans and escalate overdue or significant compliance matters. · Maintain complete and reliable records of compliance reviews, third-party due diligence, internal investigations, training and follow-up activities, and contribute to the continuous improvement of the Group Compliance Programme. What We’re Looking For · Bachelor’s degree in Law from a recognised university and admission to a Bar Association in Türkiye. · Minimum 7 years of professional experience in corporate compliance, ethics and internal investigations, regulatory compliance, white-collar matters or compliance-focused legal advisory. · Practical experience in several of the following areas: anti-bribery and corruption, third-party due diligence, internal investigations, whistleblowing processes, sanctions, conflicts of interest, compliance monitoring, policy development and training. · Sound knowledge of Turkish legislation and internationally recognised ethics and compliance principles; knowledge of the UK Bribery Act, US FCPA, ISO 37301 and ISO 37001 is preferred. · Experience in a multinational company, international law firm or complex corporate environment; experience in construction, infrastructure, energy, mining, engineering or other project-based industries is preferred. · Knowledge of or experience with the integrity and compliance expectations of international financial institutions and multilateral development banks is preferred. · Strong legal analysis, judgement and drafting skills, with the ability to translate complex requirements into clear and practical business guidance. · High ethical standards, confidentiality awareness and professional independence, together with sound judgement in sensitive and confidential matters. · Strong stakeholder management, concise reporting, communication, presentation and influencing skills. · Advanced written and spoken English, strong MS Office skills and the ability to travel domestically and internationally. Role Overview Reporting to the Compliance Department, this position will play an active role in the implementation, monitoring and continuous improvement of the Ethics and Compliance Programme supporting ONUR Group’s operations across different countries and sectors. The role includes providing Group companies with legal and compliance guidance in line with national and international legislation, internal regulations and global ethics and compliance standards; assessing compliance risks across different geographies; contributing to third-party processes and internal review activities; and supporting the assessment of compliance reports. The position requires a high level of confidentiality, objectivity and sound professional judgement in matters involving compliance reports, internal reviews, third-party assessments and sensitive corporate information. Working closely with senior management and key business functions, the role will add direct value to ONUR Group’s sustainable, transparent and responsible growth on an international scale.
