About the Role We are looking for a senior Cloud Platform / DevOps Engineer to own, maintain, and evolve the deployment platform behind DefensX services. This is a hands-on engineering role responsible for infrastructure as code, Kubernetes platforms, GitOps delivery, observability, networking, security, and production reliability across multiple cloud providers and regions. You will work closely with application engineers to make releases safe and repeatable, troubleshoot issues across the full infrastructure stack, and improve a deployment repository that is the source of truth for our environments. The right person is comfortable both designing platform improvements and responding pragmatically when production needs attention. What You Will Do Own and evolve cloud infrastructure across Azure, AWS, and Oracle Cloud using Terraform. Operate and improve managed Kubernetes clusters, including AKS, EKS, and OKE. Maintain our GitOps deployment model using Argo CD, Helm, Helmfile, and custom Helm charts. Manage environment configuration and promote application releases safely across development and production. Improve deployment validation, automation, rollback procedures, and change controls. Design and troubleshoot cloud networking, including virtual networks, routing, peering, VPNs, load balancers, ingress, DNS, and network policies. Operate identity and secrets integrations using cloud IAM, workload identities, External Secrets, and managed secret stores. Maintain TLS certificate automation and help strengthen infrastructure security and access controls. Operate and improve observability based on Prometheus, Grafana Alloy, Loki, and Tempo, including useful dashboards and actionable alerts. Support platform data services such as PostgreSQL, ClickHouse, Redis, and Kafka. Maintain supporting automation written in Python, shell, Docker, and PyInfra. Diagnose production incidents across applications, Kubernetes, networking, cloud services, and data stores; participate in an agreed on-call process. Improve documentation, disaster-recovery procedures, capacity planning, cost visibility, and operational runbooks. Partner with developers on resource sizing, health checks, scaling, deployment patterns, and production readiness. Required Qualifications Strong production experience with Kubernetes and its core operational concepts, including workloads, services, ingress, storage, autoscaling, scheduling, and network policies. Strong Terraform experience, including reusable modules, remote state, provider upgrades, plan review, imports, and safe infrastructure changes. Practical experience operating production infrastructure in at least one major cloud platform, plus the ability to work effectively across multiple providers. Experience with Helm and a GitOps delivery system such as Argo CD or Flux. Strong Linux, container, Docker, DNS, TLS, HTTP, and cloud-networking fundamentals. Experience implementing cloud IAM and secure secret delivery without storing credentials in source control. Experience operating metrics, logs, traces, dashboards, and alerts for distributed production systems. Ability to automate operational work using Python and shell scripting. Demonstrated production troubleshooting and incident-response skills, including systematic diagnosis and clear communication under pressure. Sound engineering judgment around availability, security, maintainability, cost, and delivery speed. Ability to review infrastructure changes, document decisions, and collaborate effectively with application engineers. Professional written and spoken English sufficient for technical collaboration and incident coordination. Equivalent practical experience is valued; a specific degree or certification is not required. Nice to Have Hands-on experience with two or more of Azure, AWS, and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure. Experience operating AKS, EKS, or OKE, especially private or multi-region clusters. Deep experience with Argo CD App of Apps, Helmfile, or multi-environment Helm value layering. Experience with Azure Key Vault, External Secrets Operator, Azure Workload Identity, AWS IRSA, or equivalent workload identity patterns. Experience with Prometheus remote write, Grafana Alloy, Loki, Tempo, and OpenTelemetry. Operational knowledge of PostgreSQL, ClickHouse, Redis, or Kafka/Strimzi. Experience with NGINX Ingress, cloud load-balancer controllers, Calico, VPNs, global traffic acceleration, or bring-your-own-IP configurations. Experience with PyInfra, Ansible, or similar host-configuration automation. Familiarity with Rails/Sidekiq or microservice-based application platforms. Experience introducing policy checks, infrastructure tests, security scanning, drift detection, and CI validation for Terraform and Helm repositories. Relevant cloud or Kubernetes certifications; these are useful but not required. What Success Looks Like Within the first few months, you will be able to deploy and troubleshoot services across our environments, make safe infrastructure changes, and explain how changes move from source control into production. Over time, you will reduce operational risk by improving validation, observability, documentation, recovery procedures, and automation while helping the engineering team ship reliably. How We Work Infrastructure and deployment configuration are managed as code and reviewed through version control. Kubernetes delivery follows a GitOps model, with deliberate controls around production promotion. We prefer small, reversible changes, clear ownership, useful automation, and blameless learning from incidents. Security and reliability are part of everyday engineering rather than separate final steps.
