Design how humans and AI agents work together.

We're building a new generation of onboarding and financial crime workflows powered by AI agents. These systems don't simply automate tasks. They gather evidence, analyse information, coordinate activities across systems, and support specialists in making critical decisions.

The challenge is not in making existing workflows slightly better. It is designing systems where people and AI collaborate effectively in environments that require trust, accountability, and sound judgement. We're looking for a Senior AI Service Designer to help define these experiences.

In our product teams, we build agentic AI solutions on a modern cloud-based AI platform. As a designer-builder, you will not write production code, but you will create agent prototypes to understand capabilities, constraints, orchestration patterns, and user experience implications firsthand. You’ll interact with users and stakeholders to understand what we should build.

You will work closely with the business domain Design Lead, as well as with PMs, engineers, data scientists and UX researchers in the product team. You’ll report to the business domain Design Lead and the manager of the AI Design team. The AI Design Team acts as an internal design studio in ING, and also supports our professional development and knowledge exchange among 12 designers across multiple countries.

Team members typically come together in our Vadistanbul office for two days per week during three weeks of the month, while one week each month is fully remote. We also offer additional flexibility during August, allowing colleagues to work remotely throughout the month.

As part of a globally distributed organization, you'll collaborate with colleagues across multiple ING locations while contributing to large-scale AI initiatives that create impact across the bank.

Since we’re among the first to develop agentic AI products at ING, you’ll get to explore and shape how we use this technology. You will: Design and prototype product ideas, interactions, and human-agent collaboration models using Figma and other tools. Create interaction patterns for transparency and control, defining how AI agents communicate confidence and recommendations. Recommend which responsibilities can be handled by AI and where humans remain in the loop for instruction, review and escalation. Translate complex operational and regulatory workflows into intuitive experiences. Contribute to reusable Agentic UX principles and standards. We're looking for someone who

Has at least 6 years of Product/Service Design experience, with clear examples of shaping the direction of projects you worked on. Has worked with or experimented with AI tools either in their own design workflow or in project work. Rapidly prototypes and evaluates experiences, without needing production engineering responsibilities, and has hands-on Figma experience. Has strong facilitation skills to lead workshops and bridge perspectives between Product, Engineering, Data Science and business stakeholders.
