About The Role As a Platform Architect , you will lead the evolution of Rapsodo's backend, frontend, and mobile ecosystem into a scalable, unified platform. Working across multiple engineering teams, you'll define architectural standards, drive modernization initiatives, and shape the technical foundation that powers the next generation of Rapsodo products. What You'll Do Define the long-term platform architecture and modernization roadmap across backend, frontend, and mobile systems. Design shared platform services by identifying common capabilities while defining clear boundaries for product-specific domains. Establish architecture standards, service boundaries, API contracts, ownership models, and scalable integration patterns. Lead modernization initiatives using proven migration strategies such as Strangler Fig, feature flags, backward-compatible APIs, and incremental delivery. Leverage AI-assisted engineering tools to accelerate system design, documentation, code reviews, and engineering productivity. Collaborate closely with Engineering, Product, DevOps, and QA teams to improve platform scalability, deployment, observability, and operational excellence. Mentor engineers, lead architecture and design reviews, and contribute hands-on through coding, refactoring, and technical validation. Maintain architectural documentation, decision records, and platform governance while driving engineering best practices across teams. What We're Looking For Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related technical field. 10+ years of experience as a Software Architect, Platform Architect, or in a similar technical leadership role. Proven experience modernizing complex software platforms and transforming monolithic or fragmented systems into modular architectures. Deep understanding of microservices, modular monoliths, service-oriented architecture (SOA), and domain-driven design (DDD). Strong backend development experience with Go (Golang) and/or Node.js, along with solid proficiency in object-oriented languages such as C#, Java, or Kotlin. Experience with modern frontend frameworks such as React or Vue, and a strong understanding of full-stack architecture. Strong experience designing scalable APIs, service contracts, authentication and authorization flows, and distributed systems. Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (Google Cloud Platform or AWS), Docker, messaging systems, object storage, and modern cloud-native architectures. Experience using AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or similar solutions within engineering workflows. Strong database design experience with PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or similar technologies. Ability to balance long-term architectural vision with incremental product delivery and business priorities.
