We are an Odoo partner delivering end-to-end ERP projects, particularly for manufacturing and mid-sized companies in Türkiye. Our Odoo practice combines functional consulting, software development, localization and AI-assisted delivery. We are now looking for an Odoo Developer who can design clean, maintainable solutions, develop high-quality custom modules and integrations, and work closely with our functional consultants throughout the full implementation lifecycle. THE ROLE You will be part of the MindDX Odoo delivery team, developing and extending Odoo solutions for real-world ERP projects. This is not a role where requirements simply arrive as development tickets. We expect our developers to understand why something is being built, challenge unnecessary customization, collaborate with functional consultants and find the simplest sustainable solution within the Odoo architecture. You will work primarily with Odoo 18 and Odoo 19 (and soon Odoo 20) , developing custom modules, integrations, localization components and customer-specific extensions. RESPONSIBILITIES Develop, customize and maintain Odoo modules using Python and the Odoo framework . Extend standard Odoo models and business logic using the Odoo ORM . Develop and customize forms, lists, kanban views, actions, menus and workflows using XML and view inheritance/XPath . Develop reports and templates using QWeb . Build and maintain frontend customizations using JavaScript, Owl and Odoo's web framework when required. Design and implement integrations between Odoo and external systems through APIs and web services. Work with JSON-based APIs, REST concepts and Odoo external APIs . Work confidently with PostgreSQL , while following Odoo ORM best practices and avoiding unnecessary direct database manipulation. Configure and develop appropriate access rights, security groups and record rules . Develop upgrade-safe and maintainable solutions that minimize unnecessary modification of standard Odoo functionality. Diagnose and resolve performance, functional and technical issues in existing implementations. Write automated tests for developed functionality and participate in regression testing. Perform code reviews and contribute to development standards and reusable components. Manage development through Git-based workflows , branches, pull requests and code reviews. Work with Odoo.sh development, staging and production environments . Support version upgrades, module migrations and compatibility work between Odoo versions. Collaborate closely with functional consultants during discovery, solution design, development, testing and go-live. Contribute to the continuous development of MindDX's Odoo Localization package and reusable Odoo components. Produce clear technical documentation for developed modules and integrations. WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR Must Have Minimum 2-3 years of hands-on Odoo development experience in real implementation projects. Strong Python development skills. Solid knowledge of the Odoo ORM , including models, fields, relational fields, computed fields, constraints, inheritance and recordsets. Hands-on experience developing custom Odoo modules from scratch. Strong knowledge of XML views, view inheritance and XPath . Experience with QWeb reports and templates . Good knowledge of PostgreSQL and relational database concepts. Experience with Odoo security architecture , including access rights, groups and record rules. Experience integrating Odoo with external applications and APIs. Practical knowledge of Git and collaborative development workflows. Ability to read existing code, debug complex problems and understand the impact of a change across interconnected ERP processes. Understanding of clean code, maintainability, performance and upgrade-safe development. Good written and spoken English. Professional proficiency in Turkish. Strong Plus Hands-on development experience with Odoo 18 and/or Odoo 19 . Experience with Odoo.sh , including development, staging, deployment and debugging. Experience with JavaScript and Owl development inside Odoo. Experience writing Odoo automated tests . Experience with version upgrades and custom module migration. Experience with Manufacturing (MRP), Inventory/Warehouse, Sales, Purchase or Accounting related custom development. Experience developing localization or accounting-related Odoo modules. Familiarity with Linux environments, command-line tools and Odoo deployment architecture. Experience with performance profiling and optimization of Odoo applications. Contributions to OCA or other open-source Odoo projects are a strong advantage. HOW WE THINK ABOUT DEVELOPMENT At MindDX, development does not automatically mean customization. At the same time, generated code must never replace engineering judgment. You remain responsible for understanding, reviewing, testing and validating the code you deliver. You will also work with MindDX's AI-powered Odoo delivery environment , which combines our Odoo knowledge base, delivery methodology and AI-assisted development tools.
