Junior Technical Product Manager – Forward Deployed Engineering İş İlanı

At Öneriver, we adapt the financial technology products we develop to the needs of different financial institutions and deliver end-to-end digital experiences. As our products and customer integrations continue to grow, we are looking for a Junior Technical Product Manager who can help bridge the gap between product management and software engineering, is eager to develop a strong technical understanding, and can actively contribute to solving real customer problems. We see this role as slightly different from a traditional product management position. We are looking for someone who does more than track business requirements. You will work closely with engineering teams to understand technical processes, investigate integration issues, and help close the technical gap between our products and customers through a Forward Deployed Engineering approach . What You’ll Do Support the technical product management processes of our products, Analyze business and customer needs and translate them into clear, actionable requirements for engineering teams, Prepare user stories and acceptance criteria, Work closely with backend, frontend, DevOps, and other engineering teams, Understand APIs, service-to-service communication, system integrations, and data flows, Use tools such as Postman and Swagger/OpenAPI to examine API requests and responses, Support the investigation of technical issues by reviewing error messages, logs, and system behavior, Participate in meetings with customers’ business and technical teams, Understand customer needs and technical issues and communicate them accurately to the relevant internal teams, Work with the team to determine how customer-specific requirements can be incorporated into the core product, Document technical processes using flow diagrams, sequence diagrams, API flows, or similar outputs, Follow development processes from analysis and implementation through testing and production, Verify whether delivered features meet the defined requirements, Support prioritization across the product roadmap, technical needs, and customer requests, Follow emerging technologies—particularly AI-assisted software and product development practices —and contribute to improving the team’s ways of working. What We’re Looking For A bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a similar engineering field, A recent graduate or someone with 0–2 years of experience in software development, technical product management, business analysis, solution engineering, or a similar role, An interest in the software development lifecycle and modern software architectures, Familiarity with REST APIs, JSON, HTTP, and basic integration concepts, Basic knowledge of authentication and authorization processes, or a willingness to develop expertise in these areas, The ability to write basic SQL queries and an understanding of relational databases, An interest in working with tools such as Postman and Swagger/OpenAPI, The ability to read logs or a willingness to develop technical troubleshooting skills, The ability to communicate technical processes through diagrams and documentation, The ability to discuss details with technical teams while explaining the same topics clearly to business teams and customers, A willingness to break down and investigate ambiguous problems, Strong potential for analytical thinking and problem-solving, Curiosity, ownership, a willingness to learn, and a solution-oriented mindset, Good command of English. Nice to Have We do not expect you to know all the technologies and concepts listed below. Familiarity with one or more of them—or experience through internships, academic work, or personal projects—would be an advantage: Experience with Java, Kotlin, Swift, JavaScript/TypeScript, or a similar programming language, Basic knowledge of microservice architectures, Familiarity with authentication technologies such as OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, and JWT, Knowledge of technologies such as Kafka, Server-Sent Events, or WebSockets, Interest in CI/CD, containerization, and cloud-native development practices, Interest in financial technologies, banking, investment products, or capital markets, Internship or work experience involving B2B or enterprise products, Experience with customer integrations or production issue analysis, Active use of AI coding tools and LLM-based development tools, A GitHub profile, personal project, graduation project, or technical portfolio. Who Are We Looking For? When a customer says, “This transaction isn’t working,” we are looking for someone who is curious enough to go beyond simply forwarding the issue to the engineering team and ask questions such as: “Which service is being called? What information is included in the request? What does the response contain? Could there be an issue in the authorization flow? Is the relevant service returning an error? Could the problem be related to the data flow between systems?” We do not expect you to know all the answers from day one. However, we do expect you to investigate, ask the right questions, make sense of what you learn from technical teams, and gradually take greater ownership of solving problems. In other words, we are looking for someone who wants to combine a product manager’s customer and product perspective with an engineer’s technical curiosity .
