We are seeking a Control and Systems Engineer to join our company—which operates in the renewable energy sector—to work on the operation and performance optimization of our Wind Power Plants (WPP). In this role, the incumbent will be expected to monitor, analyze, and improve the performance of wind turbines and power plant control systems; technically evaluate operational issues; and carry out initiatives aimed at increasing power plant generation.

Qualifications • Graduated from Control and Automation Engineering, Control and Systems Engineering, Electrical-Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or related departments, • Experienced in wind power plants, energy generation facilities, automation, or control systems, or eager to build a career in these fields, • Possesses basic to advanced knowledge of control systems and dynamic systems, • Knowledgeable about SCADA systems and working with operational data, • Strong data analysis and problem-solving skills, • Able to approach technical problems systematically and analytically, • Proficient in using MS Office programs, • Possesses sufficient English proficiency to follow technical documentation, • No restrictions regarding fieldwork and travel, • Aptitude for teamwork and strong communication and coordination skills.

Duties and Responsibilities • Monitor and analyze the performance of wind turbines and power plant control systems, • Evaluate operational data obtained from SCADA systems, • Identify technical issues affecting turbine and power plant performance and support resolution processes, • Analyze production losses and conduct improvement initiatives to reduce such losses, • Contribute to the analysis and resolution of issues related to control systems, PLCs, sensors, and field equipment, • Identify performance improvement opportunities by analyzing turbine operating parameters and control strategies, • Conduct root cause analyses (RCA) for recurring faults and performance issues, • Perform technical data analysis and reporting tasks, • Work in coordination with power plant operations teams, maintenance teams, manufacturers/OEMs, and other technical stakeholders, • Monitor the results of implemented improvements and verify them against performance indicators, • Contribute to the continuous improvement of power plant operational processes and technical practices, • Provide support for field operations and commissioning/improvement activities as required. Competencies • Knowledge of PLC and industrial automation systems, • Experience with wind turbine control systems, • Experience in energy generation and performance analysis, • Familiarity with wind power plant performance indicators such as power curve, availability, capacity factor, and generation losses, • Knowledge of AC motor drives, servo motors, and motion control, • Ability to read and interpret hydraulic systems, AC motors, and electrical schematics/projects, • Knowledge of condition monitoring and predictive maintenance practices, • Knowledge of IEC standards and/or grid connection criteria.
